Shalom Elderly Care

Giving Care With Heart

In Woodland Hills Since 1998

Shalom Elderly Care is a licensed board and care facility for men and women over the age of 60. Our aim is to provide the best quality care to our residents. We take great pride in our homes and what we offer along with striving for an atmosphere where our residents feel as though they have never left home. We achieve this through giving our outmost effort in catering to their needs.

Our homes are located in the quiet residential neighborhoods of Woodland Hills. They are bright, spacious, have outdoor patio areas alongside yards filled with trees, plants, and flowers. We offer the option of luxury private room accommodations. Each home has a maximum of six residents thus allowing for the greatest care of each individual and their personal requirements.

Our Services

When it comes to residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, Shalom Elderly Care focuses on knowing a resident’s wants, needs, and preferences based on their life story.

Understanding the residents’ past experiences and preferences allows us to provide for their needs at every stage of their memory loss. We respect our resident’s feelings and our goal is to support them and make every day meaningful.

We are able to work with urgent situations that need immediate attention and can accomplish move-in within 24 hours if there is a vacancy in one of our residential senior assisted living facilities.

Kind Words

I want to thank you for the wonderful care you provided for our mother in the last year of her life. It was really a pleasure to visit her in the beautiful Shalom home. Mom was so much more content living in the house with all the lovely ladies than she had been before we moved her.

My husband spent the last year and a half of his life at Shalom Elderly Care and I am convinced that he would not have lived even that long without the loving care he experienced at Shalom. As much as we had tried to care for him at home, he actually got a little stronger at Shalom, until the disease eventually took its inevitable course. I am so grateful to Dina for giving us that time together in a beautiful, light filled, spotlessly clean environment that he loved so much. I am grateful also to all the caregivers who treated my husband like family and who, I might add, were excellent cooks, often adding my husband’s favorite menu. As a minister for 33 years I have visited elderly and chronically ill parishioners in all kinds of facilities. In my opinion, none can hold a candle to Shalom Elderly Care.

My father was treated like family. Shalom made our family’s life more secure in knowing that our dad was in good hands. We knew that he was getting the care that we could not give.
